No. The CB is designed for EDC keychain use only — organizing keys, attaching small tools, securing daily essentials. It is not rated for climbing, rappelling, or any load-bearing application. Never use it as a safety device.
Does it have a gate or spring latch?
No. The CB is a static open-loop design — no moving parts, no gate. Items thread onto it through the open loop. This is intentional: no moving parts means nothing to fail or wear out.
What’s the difference between Titanium and Blacked Out?
Same single-piece Grade 5 titanium, same dimensions. The Blacked Out version has a dark matte coating; natural titanium is a light warm gray. $5 price difference.
What can I attach to it?
Keys, the WESN MT multitool, the WESN QR quick release, small EDC tools, and any other items you’d normally clip to a keychain. The open loop accepts standard split rings and keyring sizes.
