Venturer v2 – Minimalist Leather Wallet
Leather goods that age with you — not wear out.
A front-pocket wallet that gets out of your way
Meet the Venturer v2 — my best-selling slim wallet. I carry one every day. It holds your cards and a few folded bills, sits flat in your front pocket, and after a day you stop noticing it's there. That's the whole point.
The basics
- Size: 4" × 3" (10 × 7.5 cm)
- Holds 4–9 cards across 3 pockets, plus folded bills
- Italian full-grain leather, hand-stitched
- Made by hand in my Kyiv workshop, one at a time
How much it actually holds
Three pockets, three cards each — so nine if you cram it. On day one nine is tight. Leather stretches, so after a couple weeks it loosens up and gets easier. The comfortable spot is two cards per pocket, six total, plus a few bills.
Here's my own setup, since I carry the same wallet: one main card up front, three cards in the middle, and 5–7 folded bills in the back.
The leather (and why it's named on the label)
Most wallets just say "genuine leather." That tells you nothing. Here's exactly what you're getting:
- Badalassi Carlo (Olmo, Tabacco) — Italian vegetable-tanned full-grain. Firm, ages slow, builds a deep patina.
- Crazy Horse (Rusty, Pistachio) — waxed pull-up leather. Scratches rub out with your thumb and the color shifts as you carry it.
- Ponte Wax (Tan) and Koala (Black) — smoother, more even, less marking.
All of it is full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps. It's built to outlast a few phones.
Who it's not for
If you carry twelve cards, a fold of receipts, and a handful of coins, skip this one. You'll fight it. The Venturer is for a lean carry — cards and cash, nothing else. Want more room? Look at the Buccaneer bifold instead.
FAQ
Does it block RFID?
No, and I'll be straight about why. Someone scanning your pocket to steal a card is very rare in real life — most cards need a reader an inch or two away, and your bank covers fraud anyway. I'd rather give you thin, clean leather than a metal liner that adds bulk for a problem most people never hit. If RFID blocking is a must-have for you, this isn't your wallet.
How many cards does it hold?
Four to nine. Six is the sweet spot — two per pocket — plus a few folded bills.
Will the leather stretch?
Yes, a little, in the first few weeks. That's normal. It starts snug and breaks in to fit your carry.
Front pocket or back pocket?
Front. It's built slim for it. You can use the back, but front is where it shines.
Does the leather scratch?
Crazy Horse does — that's the look, and most marks rub out. If you want it to stay even, pick Badalassi, Ponte Wax, or Koala.
How do I take care of it?
Not much to do. Keep it out of the wash. A little leather conditioner once or twice a year if it looks dry. It'll only look better with age.
Who makes it and where?
I do, by hand, in my workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine. Every order ships with a handwritten note. We've shipped 7,000+ orders and earned 600+ five-star reviews.
Pick your leather and add to cart. It ships within a few days, handmade and ready to carry.
- Full-grain leather that builds a patina — gets more character with every carry
- Handmade to order in Kyiv — not pulled from a shelf
- If anything ever fails, I’ll fix or replace it — no forms, just a photo
