The Voyager is a snap-closure card holder — a snap-secured main pocket for your two to three daily cards, plus an open back pocket for folded cash or extras. The snap keeps everything from falling out when you open a bag or jacket. If you want a closure mechanism without going to a full bifold, this is it.
The snap pocket fits two cards comfortably, three once it’s broken in. The back pocket sits open — no closure — and takes your most-reached-for card or a few folded bills. Open and close takes one hand. The snap won’t pop open in a bag.
Most card holders just say “genuine leather.” That tells you nothing. Here’s exactly what you’re getting:
All full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps.
If you don’t want a closure mechanism, the Venturer v2 or Drunken Boatswain is simpler. If you need more card storage, look at the Boatswain v3.
How many cards does the Voyager hold?
Two to three in the snap pocket, plus a card or folded bills in the back pocket. Not built for heavy carry — built for a clean, minimal load.
Is the snap reliable?
Yes. It won’t pop open in a bag or pocket. Opens and closes cleanly with one hand.
Does the leather scratch?
Crazy Horse (Pistachio) marks with use — most scratches rub out with your thumb. Badalassi Carlo (Olmo, Tabacco) and Koala (Black) are smoother and mark less.
How do I care for it?
Keep it out of the wash. A small amount of leather conditioner once or twice a year if it looks dry.
Who makes it and where?
I do, by hand, in my workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine. Every order ships with a handwritten note. We’ve shipped 7,000+ orders and earned 600+ five-star reviews.
Pick your leather and add to cart. Ships within a few days, handmade and ready to carry.
Most edges get one coat of paint and call it done. Ours don’t.
I learned a polishing method from an old shoemaker I met in my grandma’s village. He walked me through it once, years ago. I lost touch with him not long after. It took me 5 years to build my own compound formula around what he taught me — that part’s mine, and it’s staying that way.
Now every edge gets seven hand-polished passes before it leaves my bench. No shortcuts. No paint sealing it shut. Just leather, polished the old way, until it holds a shine on its own.
Run your thumb along it. That’s the difference.

I have been using my new card holder for a couple weeks now. I use it for 4 cards and a small rite in the rain notebook in the back pocket. Was a hard fit at first but now it works like a charm. And the patina thats starting to form just makes everything better. I highly recommend!
