Patch Tag v2 – Leather Velcro Patch Tag | Pirate Goods
Most leather goods fade. This one improves.
A leather tag with a velcro window for patches. Currently sold out.
The Patch Tag v2 is a small leather tag with a velcro front and a slim back pocket. The velcro window faces outward — swap patches whenever you want. The back pocket holds small flat EDC (prybar, emergency cash, spare key). A brass ring lets you attach it to a keychain, backpack strap, bag handle, or luggage. Four sizes — the size refers to the velcro window, not the total tag.
Currently out of stock. Message me through the store if you want to know when the next run drops.
The basics
- Four sizes (velcro window dimensions): 2×1" / 2×2" / 3×1" / 3×2"
- Front velcro window for displaying patches
- Slim back pocket for small flat EDC items
- Brass ring for keychain, bag, or luggage attachment
- Full-grain leather, hand-stitched, hand-burnished edges
- Made by hand in my Kyiv workshop, one at a time
Which size to choose
2×1" — one small patch or ranger tab. Slim, goes anywhere.
2×2" — a standard 2×2" square patch.
3×1" — a strip patch or ranger tab.
3×2" — largest window, fits a full 3×2" patch. Back pocket big enough for a small knuckle tool.
The leather (and why it’s named on the label)
- Crazy Horse (Rusty) — waxed pull-up. Scratches rub out with your thumb, color shifts with carry.
- Koala (Black, Cigar) — smooth, even, minimal marking.
All full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps.
Who it’s not for
If you want a larger velcro patch display on a wallet, the Voyager v2 and Quartermaster v2 carry the same patch display with card storage. If you want a velcro pen loop that attaches to existing gear, look at the Patch Pen Loop.
FAQ
When is the next drop?
No confirmed date. Message me through the store and I’ll add you to the notification list.
The sizes say 2×1" — is that the whole tag or just the velcro?
Just the velcro window. The total tag is larger. The window dimensions tell you what size patch fits. Check the product photos for overall item dimensions and size comparisons.
What fits in the back pocket?
Small flat EDC: a prybar, folded bills, a spare key, a ranger pace count bead. The 3×2" size fits a small knuckle tool.
Who makes it and where?
I do, by hand, in my workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine. Every order ships with a handwritten note. We’ve shipped 7,000+ orders and earned 600+ five-star reviews.
- Full-grain leather that builds a patina — gets more character with every carry
- Handmade to order in Kyiv — not pulled from a shelf
- If anything ever fails, I’ll fix or replace it — no forms, just a photo
