Pocket knife sleeve with a loop for your flashlight or pen.

The Sailor v3 is an open-top pocket knife sleeve. Pick your size to fit your knife, then pick what goes next to it: a pen loop, a AAA flashlight loop, an AA flashlight pocket, or nothing. It lives in your front pocket and holds everything in place without rattling.

Swiss Army Pioneer, Cadet, Buck 55, WE Banter. Small pen (up to 10 cm).

M — item 55 × 120 mm / pocket 45 × 120 mm
Buck 110, Benchmade Bugout, Osborne. Full-size pen.

L — item 65 × 120 mm / pocket 55 × 120 mm
Spyderco Para 3, Benchmade Adamas Mini, Leatherman Arc, Wave, Skeletool, Charge, Sidekick, Super Tool, Wingman.

XL — item 75 × 130 mm / pocket 65 × 130 mm
Leatherman Charge, Surge, Gerber MP 600.

Flashlight loops: AAA tested with Olight i3t and ReyLight Pineapple Mini. AA tested with Olight i5t.

The leather (and why it’s named on the label)

Badalassi Carlo (Olmo, Tabacco) — Italian vegetable-tanned full-grain. Firm, builds a deep patina.
Crazy Horse (Pistachio) — waxed pull-up. Scratches rub out with your thumb, color shifts with carry.
Ponte Wax (Tan, Pumpkin) — vegetable-tanned, smooth. Tan is neutral; Pumpkin is warm orange.
Koala (Black) — smooth, even, minimal marking.

All full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps.

Who it’s not for

If you want a snap-button closure, look at the Sailor v2. For belt carry, the Sailor v4 has belt cutouts. For a belt clip, look at the Sailor v5.

Which size do I need?
Match your knife to the list above. When in doubt, size up — the sleeve breaks in and holds your knife snugly.

What’s the difference between the loop options?
No loop: knife sleeve only. Pen loop: a loop for a standard pen (D ~11mm). AAA loop: for a AAA flashlight (D ~15mm). AA pocket: a deeper pocket for an AA flashlight (D ~18mm).

Does the leather scratch?
Crazy Horse (Pistachio) marks with use — most scratches rub out with your thumb. All others are smoother.

The Seven-Pass Polish

Most edges get one coat of paint and call it done. Ours don’t.

I learned a polishing method from an old shoemaker I met in my grandma’s village. He walked me through it once, years ago. I lost touch with him not long after. It took me 5 years to build my own compound formula around what he taught me — that part’s mine, and it’s staying that way.

Now every edge gets seven hand-polished passes before it leaves my bench. No shortcuts. No paint sealing it shut. Just leather, polished the old way, until it holds a shine on its own.

Like the card holder i ordered this is another homerun. The leather is soft and the patina started to form in just a couple days. I have been using it with the pineapple mk1 and mk2 which both are a great fit. With knifes its been between the para3 and the mcnees pm mac2 3.5 and i couldnt be happier. I highly recommend!

Excellent EDC Item

I was looking for something to change my EDC from having a tactical knife clip showing as well as one from a pocket flashlight. This is an extremely well made sheath, constructed of supple, high quality leather, and perfect for low profile carry of a Swiss Army knife and slender flashlight. Great product! I asked Vitalii which size to get for my knife and he was quick to reply. The fit was perfect!

The leather smells great and is nice and suple. The Crazy Horse leather instantly looks distressed when slipping in the knife which is what i was looking for. The pen loop is a perfect fit for a Fisher Space Pen Bullet with clip.
