The Patch Pen Loop is a 3-inch leather pen loop with velcro on the back. Press it onto any hook-and-loop surface, move it when your setup changes, remove it when you don’t need it. Designed for the Helmsman v2, but works with any velcro panel — organizers, pouches, bags. Currently very low stock — message for next run details.

Why it exists
Fixed pen loops make organizers bulkier and limit your layout. This one detaches. Put it on the Helmsman v2, a pouch, a bag insert — wherever makes sense for how you carry. If your setup changes, so does the pen loop.
The leather (and why it’s named on the label)
- Crazy Horse (Rusty, Pistachio) — waxed pull-up. Scratches rub out with your thumb, color shifts with carry.
- Ponte Wax (Tan) — vegetable-tanned, smooth, natural color that patinas gradually.
- Koala (Black) — smooth, even, minimal marking.
All full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps.
Who it’s not for
If you don’t have a velcro-backed surface to attach it to, it won’t work. The Helmsman v2 is the obvious pairing. For a complete setup, the Helmsman v2 + Patch Pen Loop bundle gives you both at once.

The loop is 3 inches — fits most standard EDC pens. Very thick pens (diameter above ~15mm) may not fit cleanly.
What surfaces does it attach to?
Any hook-and-loop (velcro) panel. The Helmsman v2, the Quartermaster v2’s velcro window, any pouch or bag with a velcro field. It won’t stick to anything without a velcro surface.
Is this the same pen loop in the Helmsman v2 bundle?
Yes — exactly the same piece. If you already have the Helmsman v2 and want to add the pen loop later, this is it.
