I’ve been asked about this combination for years. Every time I posted it somewhere, it was gone from the comments before I could respond. This is the only one Pistachio Koala with gold foil and painted green edges I’ve made available to buy for now.
The leather is Koala by Conceria Puccini Attilio (Tuscany, Italy) in color Pistachio — a muted sage green, smooth and even. Full-grain French bovine shoulder, 100% vegetable-tanned with Quebracho and Chestnut extracts using an old Puccini tannery recipe, fatliquored with Sego. One of Puccini’s oldest articles. Smooth, firm temper. Develops a deep warm patina with carry — the sage green shifts and deepens over time.
The gold foil stamp and golden linen thread add warmth against the green. The edges are painted by hand with pine green dye — matching the leather’s tone, adding finished depth you notice the moment you pick it up. Every edge, by hand, with a brush.
This took longer to finish than anything else in this batch. Some pieces just do.

I learned a polishing method from an old shoemaker I met in my grandma’s village. He walked me through it once, years ago. I lost touch with him not long after. It took me 5 years to build my own compound formula around what he taught me — that part’s mine, and it’s staying that way.
Now every edge gets seven hand-polished passes before it leaves my bench. No shortcuts. No paint sealing it shut. Just leather, polished the old way, until it holds a shine on its own.
