Peso Pocket – Leather Challenge Coin Slip | Pirate Goods
Leather goods that age with you — not wear out.
A leather slip for a single challenge coin.
The Peso Pocket is a simple, slim leather sleeve. Slide your coin in from the top, slide it out from the bottom. Four sizes cover the most common coin diameters — 35mm through 50mm. No snap, no zipper. Just a clean friction fit that keeps the coin secure in your pocket.
The basics
- Sizes: 35mm (1.4"), 40mm (1.6"), 45mm (1.75"), 50mm (1.97")
- Slip design — no closure
- Full-grain leather, hand-stitched, hand-burnished edges
- Made by hand in my Kyiv workshop, one at a time
The leather (and why it's named on the label)
- Crazy Horse (Rusty, Pistachio) — waxed pull-up. Scratches rub out with your thumb, color shifts with carry.
- Ponte Wax (Tan) — vegetable-tanned, smooth, natural color that patinas gradually.
- Koala (Black, Cigar) — smooth, even, minimal marking.
All full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps.
Who it's not for
If you want more leather options — including Badalassi Carlo Italian leather — look at the Peso Pocket v3. If you carry two coins, the Peso Pocket Duo holds both side by side in the same slim format.
FAQ
How does the slip work?
The coin slides in from the top and sits snug. Pull it out from the bottom with your thumb or fingernail. No closure — friction holds it.
Will my coin fit?
Pick your coin's diameter: 35mm (1.4"), 40mm (1.6"), 45mm (1.75"), or 50mm (1.97"). Standard challenge coins are almost always one of these four sizes. When in doubt, measure your coin.
What's the difference between the Peso Pocket and the v3?
Same slip design. The v3 adds Badalassi Carlo Italian leather and more color options. The original is the straightforward version with the core leathers at the same price.
Does the leather scratch?
Crazy Horse (Rusty, Pistachio) marks with use — most scratches rub out with your thumb. Ponte Wax and Koala are smoother and mark less.
Who makes it and where?
I do, by hand, in my workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine. Every order ships with a handwritten note. We've shipped 7,000+ orders and earned 600+ five-star reviews.
