Is it secure when locked?
Yes. The QR holds securely under normal carry loads — keys, small tools, everyday essentials. It’s designed for many daily detach and reattach cycles. It is not designed for heavy sudden loads or as a safety device.
What’s the difference between Titanium and Blacked Out?
Same two-piece heat-treated titanium mechanism. The Blacked Out version has a dark matte coating; natural titanium is warm gray. $2 price difference.
Is this the same as a split ring?
No. A split ring requires working items around the coil. The QR separates cleanly with a press — instant detach, instant reattach. Much faster in daily use.
