Important information for EU customers.

My dear EU customers, so as you know from July 1st, 2021, the European Union (EU) is making changes to tax regulations for eCommerce purchases made within the EU. After July 1, 2021, VAT will be applied to orders less than € 150, and VAT and import duties will apply to orders over € 150.

In simple words, all this thing made so that your parcels go through customs faster. BUT! To do this, as a sender, I need to share the IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) number with the postal service, these numbers are supplied by the marketplaces ETSY, eBay and others, since you already pay taxes there. BUT! The problem is that my store is built on the Shopify platform, and it is not a marketplace, so I need to register the IOSS number myself, BUT! I can’t do that since I’m not a resident of European Union. Therefore, at the moment you will pay taxes when you receive the parcel itself in your post office (when purchasing goods from the site).

For now I need to attach an invoice with a real value to each package, respectively, you are obliged to pay real tax on the real value (since I will print the invoice from your order). So yeah, it seems to me that everything has been greatly complicated, also I need to add a lot of additional information to the parcel, which will significantly slow down the registration process itself.

So one more time guys, you will pay taxes after receiving your package at the post office. If you wanna place your order already with tax included so the package will come faster to you, please visit my Etsy store and place your order there!
